OCCAM Industries is a British-Ukrainian MilTech company building hardware-agnostic software for next-generation defence capabilities.
We work directly with leading Ukrainian OEMs to bring autonomy to the frontline at scale — turning existing unmanned platforms into autonomous systems capable of delivering critical missions, destroying targets, and saving lives.
Our technology is already deployed by Ukrainian brigades in combat, helping operators hit targets.
We believe in strength for peace. Ukraine has proved that a free society can defend its freedom when its citizens are willing and able to defend it. OCCAM exists to give those citizens the capability to do so.
We are well-funded and based in Kyiv. We are still early; the team is small, and we are growing fast.
That means there is a lot to build — including how we find the people we need to achieve our mission.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an ambitious person at the start of their career to help us solve one of our most important problems:
How do we find and attract exceptional people in Ukraine?
You do not need to be a recruiter. You might be a recent graduate, have a year or two of work experience, or be coming from something completely different. What matters is that you are driven, good with people, hungry to learn, and comfortable figuring things out.
You will work closely with the CEO and leadership team and learn how an early-stage company actually works: how priorities are set, how difficult decisions get made without a playbook, and how to solve problems where the answer is not obvious.
Your job is to help us find the people we want beside us as we build technology at the edge of deep tech and defence. That means engineers, technical specialists, defence professionals, veterans and others with unusually valuable skills. It means much more than searching LinkedIn.
The Ukrainian MilTech talent market runs on relationships, networks, reputation and timing. You will learn the market from the inside, understand who knows whom, build on the relationships our team already has, develop new ones, and create a network of exceptional people we can work with now and in the future.
You will learn by doing, with real responsibility from the start.

What You’ll Do
— Find and engage exceptional technical and defence talent across Ukraine.
— Build relationships with engineers, technical specialists, defence professionals and veterans
— Map the Ukrainian MilTech talent market and build a network we can draw on as we grow.
— Attend relevant industry events and spend time in the market.
— Work directly with the CEO and hiring managers to understand who we need and why.
— Take ownership of the hiring process, from identifying potential talent to onboarding.
— Test new ways to find people — through networks, communities, events, social media, AI, automation and whatever else works.
— Build the systems and processes that help us recruit better as the company grows.
About You
We care much more about your potential than the number of years on your CV.
You might be graduating now. You might have your first job. You might have experience in recruitment, sales, events, community building, startups — or something completely different.
What matters is that you:
— Want to work in Ukrainian MilTech and contribute to Ukraine’s defence.
— Are ambitious, intelligent, proactive and hungry to learn.
— Are comfortable figuring things out without a playbook.
— Are confident talking to people you do not know and building relationships.
— Are curious about technology, deep tech, startups, or defence.
— Are comfortable with AI and fast-paced environment.
— Can communicate clearly and think for yourself.
— Learn fast and comparable working in a fast-paced environment.
— Big plus if you have built, organised, started or taught yourself something simply because you wanted to.
— Speak English at B2 level or above.

Role Details
— Based in Kyiv
— Full-time
— Primarily in-person
— $1,500 to $3,000 per month, commission open to discussion
— B2 English or above
— Budget for tools, systems and resources you need to succeed
— Salary progression as your responsibility grows
Interview Process
— Four stages: three interviews with the team, followed by a final interview with the CEO.
— Successful candidates will then complete a background check before a formal offer is made.
